Terms & Conditions

These terms are maintained by Rodney Lindsay, the owner and operator of Ledger App Learning. Last updated 2026.

1. Who you are contracting with

Ledger App Learning ("Ledger", "we", "us") is operated by Rodney Lindsay, a sole proprietor. By accessing or using the service at ledgerapplearning.com, you are entering into an agreement with Rodney Lindsay. If you are using Ledger on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

2. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or continuing to use Ledger, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. You must be of legal age to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

3. What Ledger provides

Ledger is an educational investing simulator. It offers lessons, quizzes with spaced repetition, a simulated paper-trading portfolio, manually entered holdings and watchlists, streak tracking, and optional community features. A paid Premium plan unlocks advanced lessons, community participation, portfolio share links, and unlimited holdings and watchlist entries.

4. No financial advice

All content on Ledger is provided for general educational purposes only. It is not financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, and nothing on the service is a recommendation to buy or sell any security. All portfolio activity is simulated or manually entered — Ledger never connects to a real brokerage and never moves real money. Any investment decisions you make outside of Ledger are your own responsibility. Consult a licensed professional before investing.

5. Your account

  • Provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your login credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

6. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Use Ledger for any unlawful purpose, or for fraud, spam, or harassment.
  • Infringe anyone's intellectual property or post content you do not have rights to.
  • Interfere with the security or integrity of the service — including malware, probing, scraping, or attempting to bypass access controls or paid feature gates.
  • Reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the service, or circumvent technical or plan limits.
  • Post abusive, hateful, or misleading content in community profiles or comments.

We may remove content and restrict community access where these rules are broken. Community comments can be reported in-app and are reviewed by the operator.

7. Intellectual property

Ledger and all of its software, lesson content, documentation, and branding remain the property of Rodney Lindsay. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within the plan you have selected. You retain ownership of content you submit, and grant us a limited license to host and process it solely in order to provide the service.

8. Payment, subscriptions, and billing

Premium is offered as a monthly or annual subscription with a 7-day free trial. Current pricing is shown on our Pricing page. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription renews automatically at the interval you chose, at the then-current price, until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal linked in your dashboard; access continues until the end of the paid period.

Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are handled by Paddle and are additionally governed by the Paddle Buyer Terms.

9. Order process and Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

10. Refunds

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. See our Refund Policy for how to request one.

11. Service availability and warranties

We work to keep Ledger available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. Market data, lesson content, and simulated results may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including lost profits, lost data, or lost goodwill. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where the law does not permit exclusion.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from content you submit, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these terms.

14. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may stop using Ledger and delete your account at any time from account settings. On termination, your access ends and your data is deleted in line with our Privacy Policy; you may export or record your own data beforehand.

15. Changes to the service and these terms

We may update the service and these terms as Ledger evolves. The current version is always published at this URL, and material changes to paid plans will be communicated before they take effect.

16. Governing law and other terms

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator resides, and disputes will be handled by the courts of that jurisdiction. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
